Bespoke Design Service Frequently Asked Questions
What items of wedding stationery can you produce?
All regular stationery items such as Save the Date, Invitations, Reply cards, Order of Service, Menus, Place cards, Thank You cards, Favour boxes, Seating Plans, Albums, Guest Books, Keepsake Boxes are available. If you would like us to source or design further items such as Lottery envelopes, CD envelopes, Cameras and Camera Instructions, Packaging, Sparklers, Gifts etc we are happy to hear your request. We go to extreme lengths to research and source components to give you a personal service and make your stationery package unique.
How long do you need to make my stationery?
On average we need 6-8 weeks prior to the date you wish to send out your invites to develop, design, source and make your stationery therefore it is advisable to order about 16 weeks before your wedding. However it's important to remember that production will not begin until receipt of a signed proof from you.
Will I get a proof?
Once your order has been placed a proof of any text for your wedding stationery will be sent to you for your approval. Please check all details thoroughly, particularly spellings of names and dates, then sign and return the proof as quickly as possible to avoid any delay to the printing time. If you make further changes to your proof, a charge of £7.00 per change will be made. For full details, please refer to your proof form. Your order will only be produced upon receipt of your signed proof unless otherwise agreed.
When is the appropriate time to send out my invitations?
There is no definitive time to send out invitations, but the average is usually 3 months before the wedding. Save the Date cards can be sent up to a year in advance.
What is the recommended number of invitations/order of service to order?
Invitations: One per couple or household unless children are over 18 where they should have their own invitation.
Order of Service: Usually one per person, with a couple extra for minister, last minute guests to church, keepsakes. If children attending, no less than 2/3rds of number of guests.
I only need a couple of items, will you still take my order?
Yes, as we are a bespoke business we can accommodate various sized orders. We apply the same attention to detail to all products, and do our best to accommodate all reasonable requests. We would like to remind you that care is taken to order sufficient quantities at time of ordering as we cannot guarantee production time, matching materials through batches etc for additional quantities.
I have seen a design I like, can I have it to match my own wedding colours?
Yes, within reason, materials permitting. Various colour changes are possible and we can advise you of choices available once you contact us with your request.
How will I know the correct wording to use for my stationery?
Literature and guidance is provided as part of the service.
Do the prices include inserts and envelopes?
Yes, all designs that require envelopes and inserts are included in the price.
How many pages do you get in the Order of Service?
Insert pages in an Order of Service can be printed on all four sides. Any additional pages required will incur an extra charge of 80p per page.
I have chosen my stationery design but the wedding is 12 months away, what do I do?
We recommend that you book your work into the studio with a £50 deposit if you want to guarantee our time to create your stationery when it comes to your wedding date. You are welcome to complete paperwork and deposit/first payment at the same time if you wish to spread the cost, and we will follow up the order closer to your wedding date.
I want to use the Personal Design Service but I’m at a loss for ideas—what do I do?
We will establish your plans to date and any ideas you may already have in mind. We can give you a taste of some of the options available to you (such as materials, papers and styles) and will also provide inspiration and guidance to develop your stationery package. A full bespoke design package will incur a design fee of £30. Email or telephone us to arrange an informal chat.
I want to order place cards and Order of Service but I won’t know numbers until all my guests have replied?
An estimate should be placed for these items along with your invitations, and included in the deposit. On completion of your order the final numbers will be amended on the invoice and any overpayment / underpayment can be settled.
How do I pay?
Unless ordering items from our online shop, preferred method of payment is by cheque, made payable to 'Pink Fizz Designs'
How much does delivery cost?
The size and weight of your order determines delivery costs. Generally orders are despatched in two deliveries. The first will contain invitations, rsvp’s and thank you items, the second delivery will contain any remaining items. Charges will be added to your final invoice.
